The Blue Ball Inn is a dog friendly traditional Inn located in the heart of the country’s most spectacular Hiking and Walking Trails on Exmoor, North Devon. Stay with us to relax, or to follow one of the seven circular walks through stunning countryside that start from the inn. Horse riding for experienced riders or complete novices can be arranged. Plenty of parking on site. Dogs, children and walkers are very welcome. 

We are a Cask Marque Inn and also recommended by CAMRA (campaign for real ale).

The Blue Ball Inn is a romantic coaching inn dating in part back to the 13th century, with low ceilings, blackened beams, stone fireplaces and a timeless atmosphere of unspoilt old world charm. Offering visitors great food and drink, a warm welcome and a high standard of accommodation in North Devon.

Open every day of the year, the Inn has a fine and growing reputation for providing real ale, fine wines and excellent food which is served all day from 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm throughout the summer and winter.

Although all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, currently the majority of our bathrooms are equipped with a bath and do not have a shower. Superior bedrooms are equipped with baths that have shower attachments and standard bedrooms are currently being upgraded to include shower attachments
